RIP: BugMeNot.com

BugMeNot was a great online resource for those of us that hate registering for “free” online content. When you encountered a site that requires you to register to view a page, you could just enter the offending website’s URL into BugMeNot and get a username and password to use for that site.
I tried to visit BugMeNot today, only to find that its maintainers allowed the domain to expire. I hope this gets resolved soon, but it doesn’t seem likely.
Update: It’s back in action again. Awesome.
